PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To diagnose traction capacity without using an encoder for measuring lifting/lowering speed of a car in an elevator device.SOLUTION: An elevator device includes an electric motor 4 and a rotatably supported traction sheave 5. A hoisting rope 7 is wound around the traction sheave 5. A car 8 and a balance weight 9 are hung at one end and the other end of the hoisting rope 7, respectively. The elevator device further includes a control device 14. The control device 14 detects voltage generated in the electric motor 4 when a slip occurs between the hoisting rope 7 and the traction sheave 5. The control device 14 calculates torque from the voltage. Moreover, the control device 14 calculates traction capacity from the torque. The control device 14 diagnoses the traction capacity in comparison with a preset reference value. |
