<p>The purpose of the present invention is to readily and accurately perform tasks for setting up a multifunction peripheral in a factory automation (FA) network system. A setup assistance system (100) is provided with a FA network system (10) to which a multifunction peripheral (30) configured by combining a basic machine (60) and an additional machine (70) and a PLC (40) for controlling the multifunction peripheral (30) are connected via a network (50), and an assistance device (20) for assisting setup of the multifunction peripheral (30). The basic machine (60) and the additional machine (70) each store own profile information to themselves, and, when a request is received from the assistance device (20), the basic machine (60) reads out the profile information from the additional machine (70) and transmits the same to the assistance device (20) in combination with its own profile information. The assistance device (20) generates a setup screen for the multifunction peripheral (30) on the basis of the profile information acquired from the basic machine (60).</p> |
