Disclosed is a method for reducing aerodynamic drag of a high sided wagon comprising two lateral walls, which comprise a frame consisting of upper and lower framings, angular and lateral stakes and lining closing the openings between stakes and framings so that the lateral stakes protrude outwardly beyond the lining and lower framing. To the lateral stakes of each side wall symmetrically relative to the centre of wall area a thin rigid sheet – bulwarks is rigidly attached, that is solid or assembled from several sheets, whose width is equal to the height of wall, and the length – to the distance between the midpoints of end linings on both sides of the wall, the edge of the bulwarks, which protrude beyond end lateral stakes are folded so that the gap between the edge of bulwarks and lining including corrugations of lining does not exceed . Openings between the lower lining and bulwarks are overlapped by thin solid sheet bottoms, then the rigid polyurethane foam filler is injected into the space between the wagon wall and bulwarks. |
