A signal quality level may be determined of a downlink signal on a downlink channel associated with an uplink channel of a first network element. Determination of an interference potential between the first network element and the second network element from the signal quality level may be performed. Adapting a network parameter associated with the downlink channel in response to the determined interference potential may be performed.
