Glass heat exchanger with plastic tube plate

The heat exchanger has glass pipes provided for passing-through a fluid and arranged parallel to each other, and a pipe base (111) comprising openings (111a). Another pipe base has openings, where the bases are designed as a metal plate that is coated partially or completely with plastic e.g. glass fiber or carbon fiber-reinforced polyphenylene sulfide. Two rod-shaped reinforcement units (140) made from glass or ceramic are extended from a fastening point at one base to a fastening point at another base, such that the reinforcement units are fastened to the bases. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a heat exchanger.
