Leak monitoring for a refrigeration system 10 uses a pressure monitoring system 80. The refrigeration system has a first circuit section 60 and a second circuit section 50 fluidly connected to each other and through which a refrigerant flows and able to be sealed from one another, for example by valves 30, 40. In use, the refrigerant is evacuated, for example by use of a compressor 20 and the valves, from the second circuit section of the refrigeration system into the first circuit section 60 until pressure in the second section is substantially at a predetermined threshold. The second section is then sealed in the evacuated state, for example by use of valves, and pressure in the second circuit section is monitored over time. |
