A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate (21) and a second substrate (22) disposed so that one main surfaces (21a, 22a) thereof face each other; a liquid crystal layer (23) disposed between the first substrate (21) and the second substrate (22); gate wirings disposed on the one main surface (22a) of the second substrate (22); source wirings (224) disposed to intersects with the gate wirings; light shielding films (BM) provided so as to cover the source wirings (224); a first insulating film (226) provided so as to cover the gate wirings, the source wirings (224) and the light shielding films (BM); signal electrodes (228) provided on the first insulating film (226), each of which is located in a region surrounded with the gate wirings and the source wirings (224); a common electrode (227) provided on the first insulating film (226) so as not to be overlapped on the signal electrodes (228), the common electrode forming an electric field between the common electrode and the signal electrodes (228); and shield electrode (S) disposed between each of the signal electrodes (228) and each of the source wirings (224), the respective shield electrodes being overlapped on the light shielding films (BM). |
