1,035,383. Mounting electric components. W. HOLZER. Feb. 28, 1964 [March 21, 1963], No. 8461/64. Heading H1R. [Also in Division H2] An electrical device, e.g. a transmitter, step switch, relay &c. is mounted on a plate 1 by means of one or more terminals 11, projecting from the device and carrying removable, conductive springs 18 or the like which hold the terminals to the plate and establish electrical connections to the printed circuits 7 and 9 on the plate. The terminals are preferably in the form of flat contacts having enlargements 15 at the ends remote from the device 10. The springs 18 provide a vibrationproof mounting, and comprise helical compression springs, the internal diameter of which is slightly larger than the width of the contacts above the enlargements 15. The contacts are first pushed through the slots in the printed circuit board, and then the springs are forced over the enlargements. If the conductor 7 is to be electrically connected to conductor 9, an additional compression spring 17 is pushed on to a contact 11 before the contact is inserted into the plate.
