发明名称 MEJORAS EN VIDRIERAS PROTECTORAS DE LA VISTA EN FUENTES DE RADIACIËN LUMINOSA O CALORIFICA
摘要
1,152,691. Protective screens. GLAVERBEL. 25 Jan., 1966 [23 March, 1965; 21 Oct., 1965; 11 Nov., 1965], No. 3354/66. Heading ASA. [Also in Divisions ,C1, C4, C7, E1 and H4] . A light transmitting material or article comprising (a) a light transmitting layer which has, or which under sufficiently intense incident light or heat radiation temporarily acquires heat absorbing properties, and (b) a light transmitting layer which is, or which is capable of temporarily being rendered radiant heat reflecting and is dispersed so that it can protect layer (a) from radiant heat rays. The layers may be self-supporting layers or sheets or layers applied as a coating to self-supporting sheets which may be of glass or plastics material. The protecting layer (b) may be a coating of a metal, a metal-containing compound 01 01- a metalloid deposited directly on to the protected layer (a) or on a sheet of material which is then secured to the protected layer. Preferred coatings are of gold, silver or titanium oxide..In one form of the invention the protecting layer is sandwiched between two glass sheets, bothof which 'may be coloured,' the sheets being bonded together either by soldering at their marginal edges or by an inter-layer of plastics material e.g. polyvinylbutyral. In another form the material may constitute a double glazing unit, the protecting layer being on the outer or inner surface of one of two spaced sheets which are-secured together by a continuous metal strip soldered to copper bands deposited on the inner marginal edges of the sheets. Another form of protecting layer consists of a thin layer of a metal or semiconductor the radiant-heat reflecting properties of which can be varied by the application of an electric field. The intensity of the applied field can be controlled by means of a photoelectric cell actuated by sunlight. The protected layer may be of coloured glass (see Division C1 and may be chosen to be neutral in relation to the protecting layer. Thus, e.g. a protecting layer of gold or titanium oxide may be associated with a layer of grey glass. Alternatively the protected layer may be a phototropic layer. One such layer consists of calcium butyrate incorporated in an agar binder. This layer may be applied to a sheet of glass which is itself coloured. Other substances which may constitute a phototropic layer include polyvinyl methyl ether, alkalineearth salts of polyacrylic acid, polymerised polyvinyl partial acetals or cetals of which the ether oxygen atoms are associated with water, and hydrated salts. Still further phototropic layers comprise a light-sensitive halogenides to which halogenides of copper, cadmium or nickel may be added as catalysts. In one example of such a layer a coating containing equal parts of AgCl and AgBr is applied to a colourless glass sheet and coated first with a layer of SiO and then with calcium silicate. The material may be used for glazing or for making protective shields.
