PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the handleability of a razor especially relating to the improvement of a holding surface of a holder, relating to the razor having a razor head with a blade body at the head part of the holder. SOLUTION: In the razor having a razor head with a blade body at the head part of a holder, a holding surface 16 is provided on the body side of the holder from the head side with the razor head to the butt side, and a plurality of projections 18 arranged mutually at an interval respectively in the longitudinal direction and the width direction are provided over the head side and the butt side on the holding surface 16. The respective projections 18 in the head side area P of the holding surface 16 include the respective projections 18 smaller than the respective projections 18 in the butt side area Q of the holding surface 16. The holder is narrowed more in the head side area P than in the butt side area Q. When the holder is held during use, the change of the size of the respective projections 18 on the holding surface 16 in the longitudinal direction of the holder is sensed just by holding the holder without looking at the holder, and the direction of the holder is easily recognized. Further, a little finger side with a small cushion area is brought into contact with the respective projections 18 in the butt side area Q, the touch to the holding surface 16 and stability are improved, and the holer is easily held.
