[Class 37] A method of manufacturing electric condensers comprising dielectric plates 1 coated with a silver paste 2 on both sides 3, 5, comprises the steps : (a) coating an area indicated by the hatched portion of Fig. 3 on both sides of the dielectric plate, including the respective edges of the plate, with finelydivided silver in a low melting-point base, which contains lead borate evenly distributed to act as a flux; (b) stacking and clamping one or more of the dielectric plates between two insulating cover plates which have been coated at each end edge with silver paste; (c) firing the assembled starch between 580 C. and 660‹ C. until the solvent has been driven off; (d) soft soldering the end edges of the stack with a silver bearing solder.
