PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple foundation for columnar member which is easy to construct in erection work of a columnar member and with which the columnar member can be firmly fixed to a ground. SOLUTION: A simple foundation 1 for columnar member comprises: a foundation body 10 with a plurality of cylindrical legs 12 obliquely and radially provided on the outer circumference so that the cylindrical legs extend downwardly separated from the vertical central axis of the foundation body 10; a plurality of knock pins 20 which are driven on the ground in the axial directions of the respective legs in the state of the knock pins inserted in the cylindrical legs 12 to fix the foundation body 10 on the ground; and a plurality of movement regulating members 30 which regulate upward movement of the respective knock pins in the axial directions of the legs.
