<p>The generator (1) has a hollow cylindrical casing (6) comprising a conical section (8) reducing in a direction of an annular electrode (7). A pin electrode (5) extends into the casing, and ends before the conical section. The casing immediately surrounds the pin electrode, and a working gas supply has a unit (13) i.e. sleeve (14), for generating turbulent flow (35) of a working gas (4) i.e. air. A voltage source i.e. pulsed direct current (DC) voltage source, applies voltage between the pin- and annular electrodes, and the casing and/or annular electrode are grounded. The annular electrode is made of a material with an adhesive oxide layer.</p> |
