Production system of an optical display device

Provided is a system for producing a rectangular optical display device, which enables to adhere a first polarizing optical film and a second polarizing optical film to opposed surfaces of a rectangular optical display unit by using two rolls. The producing system comprises a first cutting and bonding unit for cutting a first polarizing optical film (F11) having a width corresponding to the shorter side of the rectangular display unit to a length corresponding to the longer side of the rectangular display unit, and a second cutting and bonding unit for cutting a second optical film (F21) having a width corresponding to the longer side of the rectangular display unit to a length corresponding to the shorter side of the rectangular display unitto to a predetermined length. A turning unit is adapted to carry out an in-plane turning of the display unit from a first orientation in any one of the first cutting and bonding unit and the second cutting and bonding unit to a second substantially perpendicular orientation in the other cutting and bonding unit.
