PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a resin coated carrier in which a resin coating layer is formed on the surface of a carrier core material, adhesion between the carrier core material and the resin coating layer is excellent and thus separation of the resin coating layer is prevented, and contamination of the carrier by toner spent can be restricted, with stable charging of a toner allowed for a long term. SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a resin coated carrier includes a composite particle producing step s1, a dispersion liquid preparation step s2 and a coating step s3. In the composite particle producing step s1, composite particles with resin fine particles attached on the surfaces of magnetic fine particles are obtained. In the dispersion liquid preparation step s2, a dispersion liquid in which the composite particles are dispersed in solution with coating resin dissolved in a solvent is prepared. In the coating step s3, the dispersion liquid and a carrier core material are mixed, and after the dispersion liquid is attached on the surface of the carrier core material, a resin coating layer is formed on the surface of the carrier core material by removing the solvent under heating.
