摘要 #CMT# #/CMT# The gear has two spur gears (1, 2) that are engaged with gear rods (3, 4). The spur gears have teeth (11), which are arranged along a curve. The curve has a radius of curvature that monotonically increases over an angular range of greater than 90 degrees of the curve. Pinions run in two parallel gear rods that are partially arranged one behind the other and are shifted relative to each other. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for steering of a motor vehicle. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The gear has minimum number of components, thus permitting compact designing of the gear in a simple and space-saving manner, and hence allowing manufacture of the gear in a cost-effective manner. The use of the pinions enables achievement of the respective end point of the rotation only after three-fourth revolution of the spur gears or pinions and/or the steering shaft, and eliminates the occurrence of torque variations, thus allowing the steering shaft to complete one and half revolution between the two end points. The provision of the spur gears and/or gear rods eliminates the need for additional component for attaining the progressive steering of the vehicle, thereby enabling direct fastening of the steering shaft to the pinions, and hence achieving a vehicle gear, which is free from backlash.
