PURPOSE: A method for determining fire occurrence and a fire extinguishing system for preventing malfunctions using the method are provided to determine fire occurrence using accumulated values of change rates. CONSTITUTION: A fire extinguishing system for preventing malfunctions comprises a control unit (10), a temperature sensor (20), a humidity sensor (30), a gas sensor (40), and an operation unit (50). The control unit determines fire occurrence and controls an actuator to extinguish a fire. The temperature sensor measures temperatures and delivers results to the control unit. The humidity sensor measures humidity and delivers results to the control unit. The gas sensor measures gas leakage and delivers results to the control unit. The operation unit comprises a switch for operation or input.
