A cylindrical secondary battery having improved performance in a compression test and a collision test. The cylindrical battery including a ceramic layer coated on at least one of a cathode plate and an anode plate, and a center pin having a wall thickness of 0.05 to 0.1 mm, which is inserted into the center of an electrode assembly of the battery. The ceramic layer can have a thickness of 6.0μm to 8.0μm.
