Disclosed are a bearing unit and an automotive wheel bearing unit using the same. The bearing unit includes a rotary member (inner race) coupled to a rotation body (drive shaft) to be able to rotate together with the rotation body; a rotation force transmitting member (wheel hub) spline-coupled to the rotary member to be able to rotate together with the rotary member; a stationary member (outer race) interposed between the rotary member and the outer surface of the rotation force transmitting member and coupled to the stationary member; and at least one transmission member interposed among the stationary member, the rotary member, and the rotation force transmitting member to rotate the rotary member and the rotation force transmitting member with respect to the stationary member. A constant preload which is adjustable can be applied to the bearing, and the durability and the lifespan of the bearing can be improved.
