Disclosed is a planetary gear train of an automatic transmission for a vehicle. The planetary gear train for the automatic transmission for a vehicle according to an embodiment of the present invention includes six friction elements: an input shaft receiving power from an engine; an output shaft spaced at a predetermined distance from and in parallel to the input shaft; a multiple planetary gear set including a first rotation element disposed on the output shaft and selectively external-gear-coupled to the input shaft through two paths and operated as a selective fixture element, a second rotation element selectively gear-coupled to the input shaft through one path in an outer-contact state and operated as a selective fixture element, a third rotation element connected to the output shaft and operated as an output element, and a fourth rotation element selectively external-gear-coupled to the input shaft through one path; three transfer gears disposed between the external gear connection parts; a clutch selectively connecting the first, second, third, and fourth rotation elements to the input shaft; and a brake variably connecting the first and second rotation elements to a transmission housing.
