An electrolyte containing a solvent formed from sulfones and magnesium salts dissolved in the solvent. More specifically, the present invention, for example, relates to a proper electrolyte used as an electrolyte layer of a magnesium ion battery, a manufacturing method of the electrolyte, and various kinds of electrochemical devices having a magnesium ion battery, etc. using the electrolyte. The electrode comprises a magnesium complex with a four coordinated-dimer structure which the sulfones are coordinated to magnesium.
