PURPOSE: A light emitting diode including a capacitor is provided to prevent electrostatic discharge by connecting a diode and a capacitor in parallel in one chip, not by using a zener diode, thereby reducing manufacturing costs. CONSTITUTION: A diode(60) is formed between electrode pads. The diode includes a first conductive semiconductor layer, an active layer and a second conductive semiconductor layer. A capacitor(70) is connected to the diode. The capacitor includes a transparent electrode layer, a dielectric layer and a transparent conductive layer. The capacitor prevents the diode from being damaged due to an excess current. |
