PURPOSE: A two-photon fluorescent probe is provided to show strong two-photon fluorescence by being selectively dyed in a tissue and by a reaction with nitric oxide and to selectively detect nitric oxide, thereby imaging the distribution and the activity of nitric oxide with high definition. CONSTITUTION: A two-photon fluorescent probe for imaging nitric oxide is selected among compounds of chemical formulas 1-4. A method for preparing the two-photon fluorescent probe of chemical formula 1 comprises the steps of: treating a reacted mixture of a compound of chemical formula 5 and 2-nitro-p-phenylenediamine with a promoting agent under a nitrogen atmosphere to generate an amide compound; and reducing a nitro group in the amide compound. A method for imaging nitric oxide in tissues or cells comprises the steps of: injecting the two-proton fluorescent probe into cells; generating fluorescence by a reaction of the two-photon fluorescent probe with nitric oxide in the tissues or the cells; and observing the fluorescence through a two-photon microscope. |
