The device has a body (a) in which a striker (b) is driven directly or indirectly by force of an operator. A tool chuck (c) of existing type or fresh design is provided in a front portion of the device. The tool chuck is provided with an SDS type tool (d) that is axially displaced under the force of impact when the rear end of the tool is struck by the striker, where the tool chuck is mechanically attached to the body via an axial damping system. The body includes a sound insulation element to reduce the sound levels due to the action of striking of the striker on the tool.
