The invention provides a method for viewing a picture in a non-graphical browse mode. The method comprises the following steps of: after receiving an instruction for viewing one or more pictures on a currently browsing page, and activating an independent viewing function of picture objects on the currently browsing page to generate a request for downloading picture content data; transmitting a generated downloading request to a content server; receiving the picture content data of the one or more pictures transmitted from the content server; and displaying the one or more pictures at a reserved position of the currently browsing page or on a newly browsing window. By using the method, the network flow of a user can be reduced, the network expense of the user is saved, the display speed of the picture is increased, battery consumption is saved, and user operation becomes simple, so that user experience is improved. |
