摘要 The present invention relates to an over-excitation type electronic brake including: a main body (2) fixed to a portion of a transmission (G); an operation unit (6) formed with an armature (5) that is supported by a plurality of springs (3) formed on the main body (2) and moved by an electromagnet (4) in an electromagnet (4) direction; a braking unit (9) that is pressed to brake or release a brake pad (8) coupled to a driveshaft (7) according to a moving state of the armature (5); an over-excitation unit (10) that applies a steady-state current to the electromagnet (4) when the brake is released and, during the state in which the brake is released, supplies a reduction current, which is smaller than the steady-state current, to the electromagnet (4) so as to reduce power consumption (electric energy) and the rate of heat generation, and prevent over-discharge of a battery (B); and a manual releasing unit (12) that implements an emergency release of a braking state by using a lever (11) when the battery (B) is discharged or stopped due to a malfunction. The present invention rapidly releases the braking state of the electric brake (1) by the using steady-state current and maintains the released state by using the reduction current that is smaller than the steady-state current by 2/3 to 1/2, thereby reducing the power consumption and rate of heat generation, extending duration over which the battery (B) is discharged and service life, and implementing emergency release by using the lever when the discharge of the battery (B) causes braking.
