A method for measuring a frame weight based peak signal-to-noise ratio of a dynamic image is disclosed. The method for measuring the peak signal-to-noise ratio as an item for assessing a quality of a multimedia image comprises the steps of: calculating an initial peak signal-to-noise ratio by comparing an original image transmitted from a transmitter and a received image of a receiver which receives the original image; and calibrating the initial peak signal-to-noise ratio by using a weight according to lost packets for each frame of the received image.
