The present invention relates to an apparatus for recognizing the position of an indicating object. The apparatus of the present invention comprises: a recurrent reflex member which is provided on the circumference of the screen of a display panel to recurrently reflect an incident light; a scan assembly which is provided on the rear side of the display panel to diagonally irradiate a virtual plane with light and photograph light that the irradiated light is recurrently reflected by the recurrent reflex member; a refractive member which refracts the light irradiated by the scan assembly to lead to the recurrent reflex member so as to cross the screen and refracts the light recurrently reflected by the recurrent reflex member to lead to the scan assembly; and a control unit which senses the position of an indicating object for indicating any position on the screen, based on an image photographed by the scan assembly. According to the present invention, when an object indicates or comes in contact with any position on the screen of the display device, it is possible to correctly recognize the position of the object on the screen, make the thickness of the front of the display device slim, and minimize the inflow of a foreign substance inside the display device and, additionally, to prevent noise and the flow of particles and facilitate maintenance and repair. |
