PURPOSE: A Chinese character input method and a system thereof are provided to allow a user to input Chinese characters without reading sound information by using a Pinyin input method. CONSTITUTION: An input device(101) receives a reading sound for the shape of a character. The reading sound for the shape of the character comprises partial components or each component. A searching device(102) detects a corresponding Chinese character by searching a reading sound DB(DataBase) defined by the reading sound for the shape of the character. An output device(104) outputs a Chinese character. The output device outputs the reading sound of the Chinese character.
