The present invention relates to a method for recognizing a touch position in a single-layered electrostatic touch panel apparatus. Proposed in the present invention is a method for recognizing a touch position in a single-layered electrostatic touch panel apparatus, the method comprising: a first step for applying, to each transparent electrode, power linearly decreasing along the longitudinal direction, and sensing an amount of first charges charged in each transparent electrode by the applied power; a second step for applying, to each transparent electrode, a certain amount of power along the longitudinal direction, and sensing an amount of second charges charged in each transparent electrode by the applied power; and a third step for calculating a touch position using the first charge amount and the second charge amount.
