A method for controlling an uplink frequency and a terminal device using the same are provided. A method for controlling an uplink frequency according to the present invention includes a step of measuring a frequency offset for a first downlink and a second downlink, calculating the difference between the first downlink frequency offset and the second downlink frequency offset, drawing a Doppler frequency offset from the calculated frequency offset difference, and correcting the uplink frequency offset using the Doppler frequency offset component. Thereby, the present invention simplifies a baseband design of a base station and improves an uplink SNR performance by controlling an uplink frequency through simple computation in a terminal.
