A liquid crystal display according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a liquid crystal display panel including a thin film transistor substrate and a color filter substrate; an upper polarizing plate attached to the color filter substrate; a lower polarizing plate attached to the thin film transistor substrate; a backlight unit including a light source, a light guide plate, and an optical sheet to provide light to the liquid crystal display panel; and a guide panel which supports the liquid crystal display panel, wherein a top optical sheet of the optical sheet is located between the guide panel and the lower polarizing plate by being extended onto the guide panel. |
