PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further cooperate over an overall cell from different sites to improve performance more than in-eNB cooperation, as well as to enable easy implementation.SOLUTION: A method for transmitting a reference signal from a first network element to a second network element in a communication network includes the steps of: transmitting a reference signal of a first type related to a first communication system, using a first frame resource; and transmitting a reference signal of a second type related to a second communication system using a second frame resource.
