The invention relates to a lubricant distributor (1) for dispensing lubricant to at least one lubrication point (2), wherein the lubricant distributor (1) has a lubricant distributor housing (3) in which a dosing piston (4) is arranged in reciprocatingly movable fashion in a cylinder bore (5), wherein detector means (6) are provided by which the location of the dosing piston (4) can be detected at least in one piston position. To be able, with little outlay, thus inexpensively, and in a stable manner in terms of a process, to monitor the lubricant lines, which connect to the distributor, with regard to blockage and with regard to detachment, the invention provides that the detector means (6) comprise a Hall sensor (7) which is arranged in an adapter piece (8), wherein the adapter piece (8) is arranged on the lubricant distributor housing (3) such that the Hall sensor (7) can detect the dosing piston (4) when the latter is in one of the end positions thereof in the cylinder bore (5). The invention also relates to a method for the operation of a lubricant distributor of said type. |
