The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for transforming a Java data object. An object generating unit reads data recorded in an input file by a specific unit and generates a data object corresponding to the specific unit. An object processing unit includes a byte array storing column values included in the specific unit and an object array storing field values of the data field, and processes a provision or a change of the column value. A metadata providing unit provides metadata including the sizes of the data types of respective columns included in the specific unit. According to the present invention, data processing performance can be improved by minimizing the transformation cost when data objects are generated from data stored in heterogeneous data formats or when data objects are transformed into those stored in the heterogeneous formats. |
