The system i.e. multi-projection display system (200), has a light valve (201) for providing a beam, and an image divider (202) optically coupled to the light valve and comprising an optical axis and positive magnification that lies within a range of 1.0-3.0. Optical imaging devices (203, 204) are optically coupled to the image divider and provided with an optical axis that is formed co-axial to the optical axis of the image divider. The beam of the light valve passes through the image divider and the imaging devices and projects on an image screen (207). A light source provides a light. The light source is designed as a lamp, an LED or a laser. The optical imaging devices are designed as secondary imaging devices or projection devices.
