PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveying device in which attraction property between an attraction belt and a sheet can be increased, and to provided an image forming apparatus having the sheet conveying device.SOLUTION: There is provided the sheet conveying device which includes: an endless attraction belt disposed facing an upper surface of a loaded sheet bundle; an attraction and separation unit having a first stretching roller for stretching the attraction belt and a second stretching roller positioned upstream from the first stretching roller side in the sheet conveying direction; charging means for charging the surface of the attraction belt; and contacting and separating means for contacting and separating the attraction belt and the sheet bundle between an attraction position in which the uppermost sheet of the sheet bundle is attracted to the attraction belt and a separating position separated with respect to the sheet bundle from the attraction position in which the uppermost sheet attracted to the attraction belt is conveyed. In the sheet conveying device, a plurality of pressing members for pressing the attraction belt to the sheet bundle are provided inside the attraction belt along the sheet conveying direction. |
