The present invention addresses the problem of providing a manufacturing method for an original plate for a cylindrical printing plate, the method achieving a simple and easy planarization process of a both-end joint part, high end joint strength, and excellent end printing performance. This manufacturing method for an original plate for a cylindrical printing plate is characterized by comprising: (1) a preparation step for preparing a cured resin sheet; (2) a winding step for winding the cured resin sheet on a cylindrical support; (3) a supply step for supplying a curable composition into a gap between both ends of the cured resin sheet; and (4) a curing step for curing the curable composition, and in that the curable composition contains a solvent that dissolves or swells the cured resin sheet, the content of the solvent is 0.2-2.0 mass% of the total quantity of the curable composition, and the rate of change of the size of the curable composition between before and after the curing is 2% or less. |
