A method for increasing gateway stability in a long term evolution system (LTE) mode Femto cell system, comprising: a gateway (HeNB GW) determining that a plurality of SCTP links need to be established between the HeNB GW and single mobility management entities (MMEs), and setting different Global eNB identifiers (Global eNB IDs) for the S1 interfaces on different SCTP links of the same MME; the HeNB GW establishing a plurality of SCTP links between the HeNB GW and the MMEs; and for each SCTP link established, the HeNB GW notifying the MMEs of the upper-layer application configuration information about a bearer of the SCTP link by means of S1 establishment requests, and establishing an S1 link on the SCTP link. |
