The turbofan engine has a fuel-air-mixture that is introduced in flow direction towards a compressor (05) in a core flow, where a combustion chamber (16) is supplied with the core flow and is combusted in an explosive manner. The combustion chamber is arranged in a boiler (22) in a sectional manner and has an evaporation space, in which the water mist is generated and is vaporized to cool the wall of the combustion chamber.
