PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the increase of the size of a shutter, even in a shutter in which the moving distance of a blade is long.SOLUTION: A focal plane shutter comprises: a shutter base plate to which a front blade group and a rear blade group are rotatably attached; a front blade driving member rotatably pivotally supported by the shutter base plate and driving the front blade group from a standby position to a run finish position by the energizing force of a front blade driving spring, in photographing; a rear blade driving member rotatably pivotally supported by the shutter base plate and driving the rear blade group from the standby position to the run finish position by the energizing force of a rear blade driving spring, in photographing; a front blade cam gear operating the front blade driving member from the run finish position to the standby position against the energizing force of the front blade driving spring; a rear blade cam gear operating the rear blade driving member from the run finish position to the standby position against the energizing force of the rear blade driving spring, and an idle gear connecting the front blade cam gear and the rear blade cam gear. A phase contact piece detecting the rotational phase of the rear blade cam gear is provided in the rear blade cam gear. |
