PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying device for performing horizontal resist correction without causing a fault or like that a recording medium undergoes a skew due to conveyance resistance after performing vertical resist correction and skew correction without increasing a size of the device, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A second holding roller 32 is installed on an upstream side of a first holding roller 31 in which a locking part 31b1 for performing vertical resist correction and skew correction is formed, a recording medium P held by the first holding roller 31 and the second holding roller 32 is moved in a width direction to undergoes horizontal resist correction on the basis of a positional deviation amount of horizontal resist detected by detection means 36 in accordance with a length of the recording medium P to be conveyed, and the recording medium P held by the first holding roller 31 without being held by the second holding roller 32 is moved in the width direction to undergoes horizontal resist correction on the basis of a positional deviation amount of horizontal resist detected by the detection means 36. |
