PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transuranic element recovery system in which the use of a metallic material having high durability is made possible for a vessel of a molten metal without causing the precipitation of individual metal uranium as a factor of reducing the recovery efficiency of a transuranic element, and the recovery of the transuranic element is possible by a constitution more simpler than the conventional one.SOLUTION: Provided is a transuranic element recovery system comprising: a cathode 32; an anode 30 to be mounted with a used metal fuel as an object for electrolysis; a molten salt 4 into which the cathode 32 and the anode 30 are immersed; an electrolytic tank 2 to be stored with the molten salt 4; a power source 36 of applying a voltage between the cathode 32 and the anode 30 and subjecting the used metal fuel to electrolysis treatment; and recovery means 5 of recovering a transuranic element dissolved into the molten salt 4. The recovery means 5 comprises: a liquid metal 8 stored in the bottom part of the electrolytic tank 2 and/or a vessel 6 to be immersed into the molten salt 4 and contacted with the molten salt 4; and metal uranium 14 contacted with the liquid metal 8. |
