The present invention provides an ESD protection device for a touch screen, comprising an ESD protection circuit and a protection switch connected to the ESD protection circuit in series. When the electrostatic potential of an inductive wire or a driving wire of the touch screen is greater than or equal to a preset potential during manufacture, the protection switch conducts electricity, the ESD protection device and the protection switch form a passage for leaking static electricity from the inductive wire or the driving wire to a surrounding common-electrode bus, or an ESD discharging bus, or a grounding bus, thus protecting a driving signal electrode and an inductive signal electrode of the touch screen from being electrically broken through. When the touch screen is driven normally, the protection switch is switched off, thereby greatly reducing the static leakage current which influences the touch screen, so that the influence of the static leakage current on TFT-LCD touch screens can be effectively solved. |
