The module apparatus (1) has a housing (2) and front region (3) which is provided with attachment element (4) for fastening the module apparatus into the rack. An operating and/or display panel (5) arranged in the front region, is formed as external component outside of the housing and is arranged in the region of the attachment element. The operating and/or display panel is dimensioned to partly cover the attachment element in insertion direction of the module apparatus into the rack. An independent claim is included for arrangement.
