The method involves providing multipart press tools (100) comprising a cavity (111) with negative contour of a to-be-manufactured salt core (200). The salt of a containing package (300) having an envelope (310) with a metered amount at moist salt (320) is inlaid into the cavity. The press tools are closed to carry out the pressing operation of the salt under destruction of envelope for compressing into the cavity so that the moisture or liquid contained in the salt is driven out by exceeding critical pressure. The press tools are opened for removal of the salt core.
