<p>The present invention relates to a method for scheduling radio resources on a wireless network. The wireless network comprises at least one base station that uses at least one radio access technology (RAT). The method comprises: receiving radio resource management information about at least one base station from at least one access network element; receiving a scheduling request from a first access network element, the scheduling request being a radio resource coordinating request sent by the first access network element for a first multi-mode terminal served by the first access network element; generating a scheduling response according to the received radio resource management information and the scheduling request; and sending the scheduling response to the first access network element. In the present invention, resources are coordinated and scheduled between at least two base stations that use different RATs on a wireless network, thereby increasing the resource utilization of the entire network, avoiding a system throughput loss, and improving quality of service.</p> |
