<p>The purpose of the present invention is to definitely prevent the contact of impurities to a positive electrode sheet and/or a negative electrode sheet in the electrode body of an energy storage device. In the energy storage device of the present invention, the electrode body (5) has a positive electrode sheet (11), a negative electrode sheet (12), and separators (13, 14) which are piled and rolled. A contact unit (26) whereby the separators (13, 14) are heat-sealed and compressed to one end of a width direction, so that the end (11a) of the width direction of the positive electrode sheet (11) opposite to a positive electrode lead (17) is covered by the separators (13, 14). A separator unit (27) in which the separators (13, 14) are separated from each other is installed outside of the contact unit (26) in the width direction. A protection layer which is formed of an insulating material is installed on one side (11c) of the positive electrode sheet.</p> |
