PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for processing mercury in exhaust gas capable of selectively stabilizing mercury in the exhaust gas removed by a desulfurizer, in a solid phase or a liquid phase.SOLUTION: The system for removing mercury in the exhaust gas removes Hg included in the exhaust gas from a boiler, and comprises a heat exchanger (AH) 18 for exchanging heat of the exhaust gas 12 from the boiler 11, a dust collector 19 for removing soot dust in the exhaust gas 12, a wet desulfurizer 21 for removing mercury oxide Hgin the exhaust gas by an alkali absorption liquid and desulfurizing sulfur oxide in the exhaust gas and HBr compound supply means 50 for supplying HBr being a Br compound in a flue 13 for discharging the exhaust gas from a boiler outlet, and the bromine concentration in the alkali absorption liquid in the wet desulfurizer 21 is heightened to a predetermined concentration or more. Thus, the mercury in the exhaust gas is stabilized in an Hgion state in a gypsum slurry solution discharged from the wet desulfurizer 21. |
