PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing the occurrence of charging failure.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: an image carrier 2; a charging unit 10; a transfer unit 8; a feeding unit GK; a temperature measurement unit 110; and a control unit 100. The temperature measurement unit 110 measures a temperature outside the image forming apparatus. When the temperature measured by the temperature measurement unit 110 is higher than a predetermined temperature, the control unit 100 controls to apply a charging voltage of a predetermined voltage value to the charging unit 10, and controls the image carrier 2, transfer unit 8, and feeding unit GK to form an image on a transfer target material at a first process speed. When the temperature measured by the temperature measurement unit 110 is equal to or lower than the predetermined temperature, the control unit 100 controls to apply the charging voltage of a predetermined voltage value to the charging unit 10, and controls the image carrier 2, transfer unit 8, and feeding unit GK to form an image on the transfer target material at a second process speed slower than the first process speed. |
